North Hampshire Urgent Care - Out of Hours Service

Welcome to North Hampshire Urgent Care

NHUC provides urgent medical care for people who are feeling unwell and are not able to see their own doctor because the surgery is closed.

We have two Primary Care Centres providing the service; Hantsdoc is based in the Fracture Clinic at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital (covering Basingstoke, Hook and Hartley Wintney) and Frimley Primary Care Service is based in Out-patient Department 2 at Frimley Park Hospital (covering Aldershot, Farnborough, Fleet, Crondall, Yateley, Camberley, Frimley, Ash Vale, Bagshot, Lightwater, Sandhurst and Owlsmoor).

If you require urgent medical advice or treatment please call 0118 936 5649 or 0118 936 5592. The service is only for urgent medical treatment and advice, which cannot wait until your own surgery is open again.

How Our Service Works Health Advice

Our call-handling service is provided by South Central Ambulance Service from their ambulance call centre in Wokingham. Trained call-handlers will take your details asking you for your telephone number, name and address, date of birth, your own doctor’s name and surgery and a brief description of the problem you are calling about. If you would like advice on a particular condition or symptom, you can telephone NHS Direct on 0845 4647 for nurse advice or visit their website www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk where you will find comprehensive and up-to-date information on a wide range of health issues.
