General Practitioners

Do you enjoy dealing with patients who need urgent care?
Do you want work that is flexible?
Do you want to enjoy a great work/life balance?

With North Hampshire Urgent Care (NHUC), that’s exactly what you can do whilst being part of a team of local clinicians serving our community. We’re looking for GPs to be part of our team.

We’re a Community Benefit Society so are not-for-profit and any profits are re-invested. We provide services to 550,000 patients across North and North East Hampshire, Surrey Heath and Farnham. Many of our team have been involved with NHUC for many
years and bring a wealth of experience to help support our new colleagues.

We have centres at Farnborough and Basingstoke serving North East Hants, Surrey Heath and the Sandhurst practice and North Hampshire.

You can work, either as a self-employed contractor with your NHUC earnings contributing towards the NHS pension scheme or via your personal services company if you prefer.

There are many advantages to being a self-employed GP with NHUC including a broad range of shifts to suit all schedules and to fit around your other commitments – you choose your shift types – from telephone/video consultations, base clinics, home visits or even providing primary care within your local Emergency Department.

NHUC has a diverse range of clinical case load as you would expect in typical general practice and we’re locally run by clinicians with a strong local knowledge.

As an organisation, we’re very proud of our values and by joining us, you can look forward to walking in our shoes:
