Hantsdoc

The out of hours (OOH) service has temporarily moved to Hook Surgery during the Covid-19 pandemic. Please note, all contact for out of hours will need to be made through 111

Hantsdoc provides the Out of Hours service co-located with the Emergency Department at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital.

We also provide GPs working in the Emergency Department to treat patients with urgent medical problems.

Areas covered by this service include:

Basingstoke and surrounding villages, Hook & Hartley Wintney, Odiham, Alton and Bentley

Hantsdoc is a successful organisation with an excellent track record of looking after patients when their own surgeries are closed. The Hantsdoc service is commissioned by the North Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and looks after all patients of GP practices within the CCG when the surgeries are closed.

Two thirds of the GPs and the nurses working with Hantsdoc providing care for patients out of hours are local to the area. We very rarely use locum doctors to cover shifts.

Hantsdoc has been providing excellent Out of Hours care to patients in this area for the past 20 years. We are not commissioned to provide the following services:

  • Vaccinations
  • Dressings
  • Minor injuries
  • Dental
  • Repeat prescriptions

Our service is not a walk-in service and patients requiring medical help out of hours should phone 111 in the first instance.
