Your local pharmacy

You can visit your local pharmacy for advice on common illnesses. A pharmacist is qualified to recommend non-prescription medication and measures to treat minor complaints. View a list of local pharmacies here.

999 & Emergency Departments

Please think carefully before dialing 999 for an ambulance or going to an Emergency Department. These services are for people who are seriously ill or injured. Examples of where you should dial 999 are:

  • If someone is unconscious
  • Severe breathing difficulty
  • Suspected heart attack/ severe chest pains
  • If you suspect a broken bone
  • If someone is bleeding heavily
